Leading seafood importer/distributor is currently recruiting for a Domestic USA Sales Professional for our New England office located in Cranston, Rhode Island. This is a full time position. You must be fully adept with computers. You must be an outgoing person who knows how to sell yourself and our seafood products. You must be motivated to step into the department and be able to interact with active or potential customers by telephone, via Email and Skype. You must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral. You must have good interactive skills, and a positive attitude and be comfortable in a challenging position, until you understand the industry and the products. A person in Seafood Commodity Sales or Perishables requires focused effort on your part. With the correct mindset of establishing or enhancing a career in this field, you will be well rewarded for your talent. The ideal candidate must be comfortable dealing with very busy business people, buyers, and customers. Time management and prioritizing duties are important.
Seafood experience is preferred but not necessary, however, familiarity with sales, business, and commerce is. Candidates must have exceptional organization, focus, motivation and a willingness to progress in your career within our Company. We can and will train you, if you are a quick learner, if you can dig in, and move forward with a purpose.
You must be someone with general or specific experience, who can become familiar with accumulating and understanding customer product usages, pricing according to company policy, offering products in sales calls and daily communication and follow ups. Set up of transactions in our sales order program is required but shipping, credit, collections, are other department responsibilities.

We are a leading seafood importer located in Cranston RI with a position opening up that is in the Quality Control and Company Departments. This is a full time job for a person seeking a career opportunity with a long established growing company. Stability, security and a good future is available for someone who can work independently with a positive, good attitude.
This is fun and interesting work, traveling to cold storages once a week in the Boston area, inspecting and making reports with pictures, of many different seafood products, assessing quality and other characteristics of the items being checked.
You would work in the marketing and general office departments, and have varied duties touching different areas during the week.
You must be adaptable, interested, instinctually intelligent, and willing to grow with the company. We prefer someone with a college education, (recent college graduate), but many people can qualify if you have a good head on your shoulders. Knowledge of computers is a must, being organized, and self motivated is important. This position can lead to a sales position, or other position within the company as we hire from within as much as possible.

Great Northern Products, Ltd. is seeking an outgoing person who is knowledgeable in every aspect of Exporting perishables – Frozen Seafood. Candidate must have freight forwarding experience in Exports. You must be motivated and capable to step into an active department and take over ongoing transactions mid course. We seek someone with experience and capacity in the following areas: Working with Freight Forwarders on perishable frozen container shipments and their requirements Preparation of commercial Invoices, obtaining vessel insurance, monitoring of cargo Working with government agencies for all appropriate documentation in complex transactions Study and documentation of costs relevant to transactions Dealing with trucking companies for ocean shipments and the coordination of all aspects of loading, labeling, drayage etc for transactions Dealing with Customs brokers and understanding all requirements Knowledge of Letters of credit and other Credit forms and collections Dealing with Steamship lines with rate contracts and negotiations for demurrage and terms This is a full time long term position in a casual dress atmosphere located in a state of the art facility in Cranston, RI. An initial orientation period is normal for this type of position; however the basics of export and import are all similar regardless of product. Candidate will work with Supply Coordinator and Purchasing Manager to develop your own purchasing and sourcing role within the department. Duties will include constant communication with suppliers in order to understand current relationships and build new relationships. Perform all duties relating to incoming product, inventory management, purchase orders, traffic and importer issues, product claims, and other general clerical duties. Must be hands on, dependable, accurate, and capable of multi tasking and have excellent analytical skills including inventory reports, costing and projections. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral and be familiar with Microsoft software. You must like to negotiate, discuss and execute purchase orders based on the corporate needs. Purchasing experience is required. Candidate must be dependable and able to work effectively with other departments and Management within the company and be able to work as a team player as well as independently.
